Location: Accrington
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (negotiable)
Pay Range: £17.44 - £19 per hour
Are you a compassionate and organised individual with experience in housing management? We are seeking a
Temporary Sheltered Housing Scheme Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our sheltered housing community. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Resident Support:
Provide support and assistance to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and quality of life. - Scheme Management:
Manage the overall functioning of the sheltered housing scheme, including maintenance, security, and cleanliness. - Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, emergency procedures, and risk assessments. - Coordination:
Collaborate with external agencies, service providers, and local authorities to enhance resident services. - Tenant Engagement:
Organise social activities, encourage community participation, and foster a sense of belonging. - Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records related to resident interactions, incidents, and maintenance requests.
Requirements:
- Experience:
Previous experience in sheltered housing, health, or social care environment. - Communication:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Empathy:
Compassionate and patient approach when dealing with residents. - Organisational Skills:
The ability to manage schedules, prioritise tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities. - Problem-Solving:
Quick thinking and effective problem-solving abilities. - Availability:
Available to work Monday to Friday during the specified contract period.
Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay is between £17.44 and £19, commensurate with experience.
