Summary


This is ahighly flexible postwhich can also be taken onpart-timeto provide a comprehensive, high quality pharmacy service for patients across the Trust. In addition, working within a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring there is clinical, operational and financial quality to the service provided in this area.

You will support a pharmacy team to help operationally and clinically deliver pharmaceutical services to the department and related wards, working closely with clinical service leads, the operational team, pharmacy governance team and other clinical pharmacists, supporting and covering, while developing services together.

In addition to providing excellent care, you will also develop your team and areas to ensure outstanding patient experience.

We will consider and attempt toaccommodate requirementssuch as earlier or alter starting times,part timehours andterm time hours.

• Provide effective clinical and medicines management service to patients admitted and discharged through the Trust.
• Lead, develop and deliver education and training in the pharmaceutical aspects of medicines to other healthcare professionals.
• To manage more junior rotational staff allocated to your areas including aspects of day-to-day line management and acting as a diploma tutor/designated supervisor as needed.
• Identify areas with pharmacy clinical services where improvements in both quality and cost effectiveness of pharmaceutical care and prescribing may be encouraged.

• Provide effective clinical and medicines management service to patients admitted and discharged through the Trust. Liaise with Pharmacy Managers/Team Leaders, Senior Clinicians and Senior Nurse Managers in specialist areas and in primary care to co-ordinate and ensure all services from pharmacy provide the best in seamless pharmaceutical care for these patients innovating service change when necessary to achieve this.
• Lead, develop and deliver education and training in the pharmaceutical aspects of medicines to other healthcare professionals. This will include pharmacy trainees and diploma students. To encourage and cultivate an environment of clinical and practice-based research and audit. To contribute to current and future research and audit projects associated with the use of drugs within your areas.
• To manage more junior rotational staff allocated to your areas including aspects of day-to-day line management and acting as a diploma tutor/designated supervisor as needed. To act as a team leader for the clinical pharmacy team in your area (e.g., as group/directorate lead).
• Identify areas with pharmacy clinical service where improvements in both quality and cost effectiveness of pharmaceutical care and prescribing may be encouraged.
