Summary
Housing Units in Oldham are recruiting for an Apprentice Chef. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Catering and Hospitality which will take approximately 16 months to complete.
Duties:
• Prepare all food (breakfast dishes, main meals and afternoon tea's) to the highest standards in accordance with company specifications, paying particular attention to food hygiene.
• Using kitchen equipment with supervision
• Ensure that food rotation is maintained to minimise wastage.
• Demonstrate an ability to control stock levels keeping within restaurant budgets.
Requirements:
• Demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative and as part of an
effective team.
• Demonstrate good communication skills, ensuring that other team
• members receive all relevant information as necessary.
• Demonstrate a willingness to pass on skills to others as appropriate.
• Show commitment and energy in the role
Grades:
No formal qualifications required.
Hours:
Rota basis 5 days Mon-Sun 8:30am-5:30pm / 30 mins lunch / 38 hours per week
