Summary
Job description
Shift Patterns: 4/5 days per week - Comprising mainly of early shifts and some lates. Must be flexible to cover alternate weekends on rota (early shift is 8.00am until 3pm and late shift is 3.00pm until 10.00-10.30pm). Half an hour unpaid break allowed and free meal provided on duty.
Approx. 30-35 hours per week Some flexibility in completing more hours when covering holidays/sickness is required.
*Ensuring all guests are welcomed upon arrival, taking charge of check-in and check-out procedures and creating a welcoming, relaxing first and lasting impression.
*Dealing with any guest queries or complaints during their stay, seeking advice or assistance from the Duty Manager where required.
*Responding to reservation queries smoothly and efficiently, building a rapport with guests from the first point of contact.
*Building a strong rapport with guests quickly and using sales skills to push revenue.
*Responsibility for the Front Office float and recording all necessary transactions, meeting compliance and legal expectations.
*Preparing all bills and accounts for departing guests and continuing to maintain an excellent customer service experience for each guest.
Experience required:-
*Previous hotel experience in a similar role preferred.
*Working knowledge of computerised booking system and third party booking agents preferred.
Other skills required are:-
*Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
*Excellent communication skills.
*Friendly and welcoming.
*Eager to learn.
*Organised and well presented.
*Good team worker.
*Ability to work independently and manage own priorities.
*Flexible to cover extra shifts as and when required.
This role is for maternity cover and training will commence from early to
mid April, 2024.
