Reporting to the Senior Admin Officer, the post holder will provide operational and reception support to the Youth Justice Service in Redbridge.

The post holder will support reception and be the first point of contact for enquiries within the reception area from the public or by telephone.

To assist with and answer all incoming telephone enquiries and greet visitors in the reception area.

On occasions this involves liaising with challenging clients in the reception area.

To respond to queries from and liaise with other staff, the public, and external agencies such as the Police, Probation, Health and Education as appropriate.

This may involve checking the information database.

To manage and maintain room booking facilities and equipment in line with the service needs, making sure that all equipment is in good condition meeting safety standards.

To provide administrative support to the Senior Admin Officer with Referral Orders
To organise meetings and appointments for case managers and other staff in the YJTPS and other services as required, ensuring that the relevant attendees and other people are made aware of times, dates and venues.

To provide cover for the work of other members of the team according to workload pressures and staffing capacity.

To ensure that all YJS secure and generic mailboxes are regularly updated, managed and actioned accordingly.

To ensure that information is entered into all databases promptly and accurately and that data is updated and maintained.
