LTF Recruitment are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to join a primary school located in the Birmingham B66 area. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual prepared to work with students on a 1-1 basis or in small groups to support their learning and development. The school provides a welcoming and inclusive environment, with a 'Good' Ofsted rating. The successful candidate will support learners to reach their full potential, regardless of the barriers that they may face.
Post Objective: To provide support to promote individual students' progress, both academically and pastorally in a primary school setting.
Job description:
- Work with individuals and small groups, ensuring that each child has equal access to equal education opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to plan and deliver support by developing strategies that promote positive behavioural outcomes.
- Work to adapt learning to meet the individual needs of students.
- Develop and deliver workshops for students with behavioural, social and emotional difficulties.
- Foster positive relationships with students and staff
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in a school environment or support based setting
- Experience of managing challenging behaviours and good knowledge of behaviour management strategies
- Be confident in your ability to build relationships with students and staff
- An Enhanced DBS and two references is a requirement for this role
