Summary

Are you looking for a role within education for September? Are you empathetic, proactive, and have a desire to support young people of all abilities and help them reach their full potential?

We are working with a secondary school in the London Borough of Hackney who are looking for a positive and supportive learning support assistant to join their team in September. The role would involve working predominantly with students wtih Special Educational Needs (SEN), either on a 1-1 basis, multiple students within one classroom, or supporting students within multiple classrooms throughout the day. No day is the same, so this role would best suit an adaptable and proactive indidivual who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role.

Responsibilites:
- Supporting students with SEN in multiple settings
- Working with students aged 11-16
- Work collaboratively with the SEND department and other members of staff
- Tailor your approach to the individual needs of the child
- Treating all students with respect and kindness
- Behavioural management, promoting independent learning and helping students manage their behaviour

Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN in some capcity
- The ability to comunicate and work well with young people and other members of staff
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding
- A desire to support young people, and to work within the field of education
- An enhanced DBS on the OUS (or be willing to get one)

We work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
