Summary


Following a review of the Clinical Model across SCFT Intermediate Care Units, teams are now in position to beginning recruiting Doctors to the NEW Model.

The organisation is looking for compassionate doctors with experience in older people’s medicine and rehabilitation to become part of our well established multi-disciplinary teams based at a number of our Intermediate Care units (ICU) across Sussex. Above all you will share our values and our ambition to deliver excellent care at the heart of the community.

To support embedding the new medical model we are actively looking to recruit Doctors at the following sites across the organisation:
• Bognor Regis War memorial Hospital ICU – PO22 9PP
• Lewes Victoria Hospital ICU – BN6 6PE
• Crowborough War Memorial Hospital ICU – TN6 1HB
• Uckfield Hospital ICU – TN22 5AW
• Kleinwort ICU – Haywards Heath RH16 4BE

Roles will be based within a specific unit and need to cross cover for colleagues as required.

The post holders’ main responsibilities will be to work as a ward doctor as part of the experienced multi-disciplinary team which includes an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) as well as nursing and therapy colleagues. You will be based on a designated ward but work with colleagues on neighbouring units to provide cover as and when required.

The Trust has a vision for further improving the clinical model that includes employing consultant physician geriatricians to provide oversight and supervision as well as increasing the number of specialty doctors and ACPs.
