We are looking for a compassionate and caring Meet and Greet Coordinator to join our Community Hub teams here at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. This role is inclusive and welcomes candidates from all members of our diverse communities. Before applying, potential candidates will have the opportunity to visit our local sites for a conversation with one of our leads about the role. You will be able to learn about the benefits you will provide as a Meet and Greet Coordinator as well as how you will be supported by the local team.. As the Meet and Greet Coordinator, your key responsibility will be ensuring the safety and well-being of all visitors to our premises/sites. This includes confirming the identity of visitors and encouraging appropriate behaviour in verbal interactions and conduct towards others.

In addition, you will work closely with any identified security function at specific trust locations that have a specific security role, ensuring seamless coordination for the safety of all.

We may also have opportunities available at other locations within our localities at the same band, same role, and job description, should such roles be available at the time of your interview, we would also discuss these roles with you and utilise this interview process to also recruit to those roles.

Key Responsibilities:
• Confirming the legitimacy of persons entering premises/sites and monitoring their verbal interactions and behaviour towards others.
• Maintaining safety processes and procedures, including responding to staff assistance alarm activations, fire, or medical emergencies, and ensuring proper maintenance of associated equipment.
• Collaborating closely with any security function at specific trust locations, if applicable.
• Acting as the main point of contact for all visitors and supporting the day-to-day operation of the hub/site, including ensuring the safety of reception/waiting areas.

Requirements:
• Genuine care and compassion for visitors, patients, and their families/carers, particularly noting the mental health vulnerabilities of those that attend/utilise our services.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to maintain safety processes and procedures.
• Willingness to collaborate with security personnel, if applicable.
• Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors
