Summary

Working alongside the Police in custody suites caring for detainees. Salary £36,720 per year + £1000 bonus when completed 12 months service. Full time (4 on, 4 off) and Part time roles available shifts will include days and Nights. We are looking for people who want to deliver gold standard care and be a proud part of a team who has this vision with a real passion for developing clinical, forensic, and wider skills. No previous forensic experience required as full training will be given. The role requires the flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area. RN, RGN or dual RMN/RGN Nursing: 2 years - Essential Band 5 minimum Paramedic 2 years - Essential HCPC/NMC PIN (required) Driving Licence (required) All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting Whilst detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs, as well as gather any forensic samples needed by the police to aid their investigations. Making careful records on our computerised systems, you'll be assessing whether people are fit to be detained or released, administering medications when needed, and working with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can prevent future crime. We will support you every step of the way, developing your skills to professionally deliver this rewarding, sometimes challenging role with integrity and respect. You will receive a full induction and training given to start the role. Ongoing professional development, as well as a wealth of other online learning courses and of course many opportunities to progress to Senior Healthcare Professional and beyond.
