Summary

The Firs is a small residential home in Stafford which provides medium to long term residential support for up to 3 young people aged 11 - 18 years old. It is a family centred environment that supports, nurtures and cares for young people in care.

Shifts will be 7.30 - 22.30 on a one on, two off basis.

Main Responsibilities

We are looking for a committed, vibrant and highly motivated individual to help support young people in all areas of their lives whilst creating an environment where young people can flourish and achieve their full potential. You will need to work on your own initiative, manage a team of staff and be able to deal with demanding and challenging situations. This role can require a high level of resilience and flexibility but is also very rewarding.

The Ideal Candidate

To this role you'll bring

  • 2 years experience in working with children in a residential setting
  • experience of working at senior level in a residential setting
  • a minimum of NVQ/QCF level 3 in Caring for Young People
  • a NVQ4 in care or a willingness to complete the qualification if appointed
