Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to undertake installations, testing, repairs, and maintenance of emergency lighting systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to ensuring the safety and functionality of emergency lighting systems in various settings.
Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair emergency lighting systems in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of emergency lighting systems to ensure compliance and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with emergency lighting systems, including wiring, fixtures, and control panels.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and perform necessary repairs or replacements as needed.
• Document all work performed, including testing results, repairs, maintenance activities and certification.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients to address their needs and concerns.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to emergency lighting systems.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an electrician, (a focus on emergency lighting systems preferred but not essential)
• Valid electrician's license or certification required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations governing emergency lighting installations and maintenance.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
