Summary

Introduction
The successful candidate(s) will be supporting the client in their own home with personal care, preparing meals, light housework, support organising the living environment and support accessing the community for shopping, university and other tasks.
Support will also be provided to make sure that medication is taken and providing some social support.

About me:
I am young person who is a wheelchair user I am working towards a degree in Computing with the Open University. I also do various pieces of volunteer work I like to be independent – sometimes to a fault! I enjoy a variety of hobbies. I have a black cat who is a rescue he can be nervous around new people.

Hours: 16.5 hrs a week over 7 days

Rate: £11.44 per hour

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is hardworking and respects my home as I do. They will be organised and meticulous. Ideally The candidate will have an awareness of LGBTQ+. They will work with me as an equal who just requires some support and will work with me to promote independence and a full, active life. They can both work proactively and alongside me, depending on the task and the client’s ability at that moment.

Essential Criteria
• Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude towards disability and LGBTQ+ issues.
• Awareness of Equality and Diversity


Desirable Criteria
• Full Driving Licence: Preferred, but not required
• Use of Own Car: Preferred, but not required.
