Summary

Senior Procurement Officer

Industry: Local Authority

Location: Isle of Wight (hybrid working)

Hours: 37 hours per week ( negotiable)

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: temporary for approx. 9 - 12 months

Duties:

Responsible for complete end to end procurement cycle of multi million pound project, from project initiation through to contract award.
Managing external project consultants (financial, legal and technical) for the first phase of developing the procurement strategy.
Stakeholder engagement and liaison,
Project management,
Informing Options Appraisals using E-tendering software
Ensuring that the procurement process is fully compliant with the Contract Standing Orders, UK legislative requirements and that work undertaken delivers best value.

Experience:

Must hold MCIPS certification,
Must have substantial experience of e-tending software (i.e. Pro-contract) and be confident with Microsoft 365 including Excel,
Must have expect knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR),
Experience within construction, marine or infrastructure sectors is preferred.

Salary: dependent upon experience, please submit expectations with application (PAYE).
