Summary

At Tees Active you will work towards your Community Activator Coach L2 Apprenticeship Qualification over the course of 12-18 Months.

Main Responsibilities:

To ensure the safe, efficient and enjoyable use of the facilities by customers and assist in the overall delivery of thrilling, customer-focused experiences on our white water course and adventure climbing activity. To deal with customer/service enquiries in a professional and positive way. Ensuring that the service maintains a strong customer focus and remains committed to the principles of Customer Service Excellence Standard.

Day to Day:

- Assisting Operations: You'll be involved in various operational tasks, such as opening and closing the facility, routine equipment maintenance, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the leisure environment.

- Customer Interaction: Interact with visitors, providing excellent customer service, answering queries, and ensuring their safety during activities.

- Supporting Activities: Assist in delivering exciting experiences at both Tees Barrage White Water Course and Air Trail. This may involve helping participants with safety equipment, guiding them through activities, and ensuring a memorable adventure.

- To understand and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety at Work procedures, personally and for colleagues, children and other customers. This includes compliance with Health and Safety policy and systems, report any faults/incidents/accidents/damage/hazards and take a pro-active approach to Health and Safety matters in order to protect yourself and others. This includes timely reporting and recording of such matters to the General Management team.

- To assist in the implementation of emergency procedures and operational plans where appropriate, e.g. evacuation.

- To assist where appropriate in the development of the centre's programme through events, competitions and new activities.

- To provide advice and assistance to users of the Centre(s) in relation to existing and future activity programmes.

- To work and communicate efficiently and effectively within and between workgroups.

- To undertake general duties as required at the Centre(s).

- To carry out cleaning and litter picking duties within the centre.

- To give all reasonable advice and assistance to customers using the centre(s).

- To assist with patrolling the centre to prevent abuse of facilities by customers or unauthorised access.
