A very exciting opportunity has arisen at Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre (BHOC),to join the BHOC Uro Oncology CNS Team until March 2026.

We are looking for a dedicated forward thinking RN, who has post registration experience in Oncology and palliative care or Urology, and a passion for, caring for patients with a urological cancer.

The role involves supporting patients and their families / carers through the uro oncology cancer pathway within both the inpatient and outpatient settings, this includes arranging and planning of diagnostic investigations, providing symptom control advice, communicating updates to patients at integral points of the pathway, delivering diagnosis, supporting treatment decisions, and providing ongoing advice and guidance through their treatment pathway.

The role requires the post holder to work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team involved.

This is a fixed term full time position working Monday – Friday with the option of flexible working considered.

Secondments will be considered but applicants must have the full approval of their line manger prior to application submission.

The post holder will work as an important member of the Multidisciplinary Team within University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust across the community. The post holder will provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients (in-patient and out-patient) and their family, throughout the care pathway.

The post holder will utilise skills of clinical expertise, education and management to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers and staff. S/he will provide advice, support and information from the time of diagnosis and throughout curative, palliative and terminal phases.

They will work closely with the multidisciplinary team in hospital and the community to ensure a co-ordinated quality service and will be actively involved in education, audit and research.

The post holder will engage and lead discussions in multidisciplinary team meetings
