An independent mixed RCVS accredited practice is seeking a mixed veterinary surgeon to join their team. With plans for a new surgery underway, now's the perfect time to be part of their forward-thinking approach.
Our client is looking for a veterinary surgeon to maintain their team of 4 highly qualified and experienced veterinary surgeons. You will be supported by a friendly and welcoming team of 7 support staff.
The practice has no branch surgeries and is a mixed practice 50% large animal, 45% small animal, and 5% equine care and is well equipped with in house blood machines, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultra-sound, and scanners. Situated in a charming village surrounded by stunning scenery on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. With easy access from the M6 and A66.
The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of one years' UK experience in dairy/beef/sheep/small animal. Confident with calving's, lambing's, caesareans, cattle fertility, small animal consultation and basic surgery. Small animal consultations are 20 minutes with 10 minutes writing up time.
The Role:
• You will work across 4/5 days
• 1:4 weekends working on call at home from 6.30pm on Friday and in surgery from 8:30am to 1pm on Saturday, then on-call from home for the remainder of the weekend.
• The role also includes 1 night per week on call from 6.30pm to 8.30am.
• Exceptional new graduates with good EMS will be considered.
The package:
• Salary up to £55,000 DOE
• 5.6 weeks annual leave increasing with service
