Our client, a reputable first opinion independent mixed practice, is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team. Nestled in a picturesque town in Argyll, the practice enjoys the beauty of hills, forests, lochs, and scenic coastline, with convenient access to ferry ports for the islands. Oban is just 39 miles away, and there are excellent travel links to the major city of Glasgow.

Established for many years, our client's practice has earned an excellent reputation in the local community, serving a diverse clientele. The practice is predominantly 70 percent small animal, 20 percent equine, and 10 percent farm animal.

Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the practice offers a wide range of services, including Radiography, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Dentistry, Routine and Emergency Surgery, and more.

They are in search of a compassionate and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and appreciates the charm of rural living, while still being within 2 hours of the central belt. The current team consists of 4 reception staff, 1 RVN, 3 full-time vets, and 3 part-time vets, all providing substantial support.

Our client welcomes applications from candidates at various experience levels, making this an ideal opportunity for a new graduate or a veterinary surgeon with 1-2 years of experience. The role will encompass consulting, small animal surgery, farm animal and equine visits, and a small amount of OV work, including TB testing, AHCs, and EHCs.

The Rota:
• Full time - 4.5 day week
• 1 week night on call, 1 weekend in 4 on call (experienced vet will be on call with you for as long as needed)
• Half day Wednesday afternoon, but willing to be flexible as required
