Summary
Will be trained up in all aspects of the Early years level 2 qualification including: Safeguarding Children, toileting, feeding, communicating effectively with colleques, parents and Children alike.
Reading stories, playing games, cooking.
Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Portico lane's Day Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
Functional skills in Maths and English if requiredThis will be delivered through Portico lane's Day Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.
Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
Qualifications required
No formal qualifications are required but candidate must have basic literacy and numeracy skills

Communication skills
Prospects
Once qualified at Level 2 candidates can progress onto their Level 3 Childcare apprenticeship or work towards the leadership and management Level 3.

Duration 12 months
