Summary
Location: We operate a flexible hybrid working model across the UK, with colleagues linked to one of our core locations in Newport, Titchfield (Fareham), London, Manchester or Darlington, and working between office and remote throughout the week. (40% of working time in office except Darlington which is 20%)

We're looking for people with a business design/analysis/architecture background to come and join our Business Design & Architecture team, designing end-to-end solutions to meet stakeholder & user needs across a wide range of ONS projects/programmes. Here's some of what the team are working on at the moment: Integrated Data Service (a Cross Government analytical platform), the future of Population, Migration and Social statistics (including the future of Census), and transforming our Business Statistics.
In ONS, a Business Architect helps to shape the ‘Business Design’ from a people, process, information and technology perspective. They play a lead role in implementing the Vision & Strategy and are committed to continuous improvement and optimization. They use their knowledge & experience to understand business scenarios, communicate the issues and recommend next steps.
As someone experienced in business analysis, design or architecture, you're confident applying & developing business architecture frameworks, principles and techniques as appropriate. You can get involved or even take the lead on things like Motivation models, Operating Models, Business Model canvas, SWOT/PESTLE analysis, Strategy and Business Capability maturity assessments.
You're a confident communicator, mediating at all levels and with all sorts of stakeholders, and managing those relationships appropriately and effectively.
Lastly, you're a strategic thinker, happy working on long-term strategies and policies and defining vision statements and roadmaps.
