Summary


The Clinical Placement Facilitator (CPF Band 6) will under the supervision of the Placement Coordinator to ensure clinical placement provision across the Trust for a range of Higher Education Institutions that work in partnership with the Trust. This will include the acute, community and primary care services for a range of the healthcare workforce students including pre-registration nurses and trainee nursing associates and paramedics. The post will have a focus on increasing placement capacity within the Trust using tried and tested expansion models In addition the post holder will ensure that the Trust meets the requirements of the Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment (The Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates 2018) and maintain a register of Practice /Supervisors Assessors
The Clinical Placement Facilitator will work closely with the Placement Coordinator and Higher Education Institutions to ensure that the clinical practice environments are suitable learning environments and that adequate support is provided for students by the Trust and the HEI.
They have a central role in supporting the students and monitoring their achievement whilst on placement to ensure the development of a suitable professional and future employee of the organisation.
They will work with the Placement Coordinator and trust recruitment team to ensure that students are encouraged and supported to become Trust employees.
