Summary
The position is for a worker on the nursery and is for 6 months minimum, full time hours with seasonal overtime. This may lead to further employment for the right applicant.
Duties will include caring for stock, collating and picking of orders using nursery trolleys, assisting with loading vans and unloading of stock arriving on trucks. There will be some re-potting and general watering of stock on the nursery. There is plenty of overtime in the sunny season and it is a busy environment in general. Duties would require flexible working hours and in sunny weather weekend work is essential, as plants must be maintained to highest standards.
Moving stock around the nursery is a big part of the job and the applicant must be a fit and capable person.
Training will be given on how to move the stock without damaging it and general care of the plants and trees throughout the season.
