Our friendly and experienced team is currently looking to recruit a Driver to support our clinical staff in our GP out of hour’s service.

The post holder will work as part of an out of hours operational team chauffeuring and supporting medical staff to undertake home visits in the effective and efficient delivery of a high quality out of hours service to NHS Berkshire West.

The post will include supporting medical staff to undertake some clinical tasks.

The successful candidate will as part of their role:  
• Drive medical staff to home visits in a safe and timely manner 
• Maintain effective communication with dispatching staff  
• Ensure all medical bags and equipment are stowed at the beginning of each duty session and assist medical staff with locating bags and equipment
• Follow the service’s operational procedures for checking vehicles before the beginning of each duty session including fuel, water, oil levels. Complete data entries. Handover vehiclesto oncoming drivers with sufficient fuel and in a clean and tidy condition internally
• Work as part of a team supporting and assisting qualified staff with patient care within the Urgent Care setting

The “must haves” for this role:
• Valid manual driving licence 
• Flexibility with working hours/days including evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays andChristmas/Easter festive periods 
• Computer literate with an ability to navigate common systems and software including internet and email
