Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to join our team.

As a Motor Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy. Additionally, you will conduct MOT tests in compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and servicing tasks on vehicles, including but not limited to oil changes, services, brake inspections, and fluid checks etc.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
Conduct MOT tests in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Identify and report any safety or compliance issues found during inspections or servicing.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, services provided, and test results.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair options, provide estimates, and address any concerns.
Keep up-to-date with advancements in automotive technology and industry standards.
Adhere to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet service deadlines.
Uphold the company's reputation for quality and professionalism by delivering exceptional service to every customer.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester, preferably in a similar automotive service environment.
A valid MOT Tester License (Class 4 and 7) issued by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency).
Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and components.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
