Summary
Class 1 Shunters required for immediate starts in Northampton.
Shift - 4 Days on 4 days off.
06:00-18:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner within the premises.
- Maneuver vehicles into loading and unloading bays according to schedules.
- Perform pre-operational checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and drivers to coordinate movement of goods.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Assist with general yard duties and maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
- Previous experience as a shunter or in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
