Purovets are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and team orientated Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at an RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital in Lincolnshire. This role offers an excellent and balanced caseload of surgery and medicine, or a consult-only focus if this is what you would prefer. They can also offer an excellent caseload for a candidate that has an interest in dentistry. They perform work ups and deliver in-patient care to the highest of standards. They will fully support you to explore any clinical interests in the form of continuous professional development, as well as providing help with team support and mentorship.
The team is composed of 6 vets, 9 RVNS, 3 SVNs and 1 VCA. They have 1 surgery certificate holder and 1 medicine certificate holder. The nursing team has an advanced nursing diplomat and an ISFM diplomat. The hospital has dedicated dog, cat and exotics wards, two theatre, on-site laboratory, digital x ray suite, bucky table/grid, dedicated dental theatre, dental radiography, Mylab ultrasound with abdominal and cardiac probe, laparoscopic equipment, endoscope, bronchoscope, a range of orthopaedic kit, electrocautery and cryotherapy just to name a few.
They can offer flexible working patterns that flex with you and your lifestyle, whether you are looking to flex your rota hours to balance the school holidays, fix to navigate the school runs or just looking to strike that balance between home and work life. A typical full-time role would involve working 40 hours per week over a 4 days with a rotating day off (can be a fixed day off if preferred). Shift times are 1 day from 7:30am - 3:30pm, 1 day from 9am - 7pm and 2 days from 8.30am - 7pm. Saturday mornings are from 7:30/8:30am - 12pm. If on the rotating day off, you will get a 4 day weekend every 4 weeks. There are no out of hours or on-call required. You will get a 30 minute paid lunch as well.
You will be working in the beautiful university city of Lincoln, which has good transport connections to London as well as a vibrant nightlife, beautiful outdoors and proximity to the seaside. Lincoln is an ideal area if you are considering relocation due to the lower cost of living.
