Summary

Care Support Worker

Job Type(s): Full and part time positions available

Salary: £11.44 rising to £12 per hour after probationary period + paid travel time and mileage.


Candlelight Care are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individuals to join our dedicated and friendly, family-run team to support vulnerable adults in the comfort of their own homes within Street and the surrounding villages. Since February 2022, the Shortage Occupation List expanded to include social care worker, care assistant and home care worker roles, so this really is a fantastic opportunity for either experienced care assistants or those eager to forge a new career path in the Health and Social Care Sector.


We currently have opportunities for both full and part-time Care and Support Workers in Street and the surrounding areas. Our Shift Patterns are 7am to 2pm and/or 4pm to 10pm. We also ask for a commitment to working alternate weekends.

Key Responsibilities of a Care Support Worker:

• Getting to know your clients, and their interests and needs

• Giving emotional and practical support, tailored to your clients' needs.

• Assisting with personal care (washing, toileting, dressing) domestic household tasks and food preparation.

• Assisting with medication, use of mobility aids and personal equipment where required.

• To report to the registered manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client.

• To encourage and enable our clients to remain as independent as possible whilst acting in their best interests and protecting and safeguarding their wellbeing.

• Clearly record all care notes on a handheld device after each visit.
