Summary
Due to the insurance requirements of this role, applicants need to be over 25 to apply.
Hourly Rate: £13.25 p/hr, increasing to £15 p/hr once successfully completed probation (up to 12wks) FTE £31,200 annually.
Hours: up to 40 hours/ 5 days p/wk, additional hours available for the right candidate
Other: 4 weeks holiday pay, onsite parking (Luton), access to company vehicle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Wayne Enterprises (London) Ltd is looking for a reliable and friendly driver to join our fast-growing team. This role will service an existing, long standing client base predominantly across the Greater London Region and Home Counties, with some national/international travel. You will take responsibility for maintaining the company’s reputation by offering outstanding customer service in the delivery of customers' goods. We'll expect you to go the extra mile in everything you do from loading your vehicle to dealing with customer queries.
You will be responsible for receiving and shipping goods at our Luton base. Attention to detail is essential as goods are checked in and out of the warehouse. You will be expected to contribute to the safe working environment by being aware of, and adhering to, legislative and health & safety requirements of the workplace and whilst in customer homes, offices, and showrooms.
Please note that this role involves heavy lifting.
Job Requirements:
The requirements of the job include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving and shipping goods from our Luton base
- Stock-checking, quality control of goods in and out of the warehouse
- Driving and delivering client and customer goods
- Basic assembly and installation of goods, products and fixtures
- Packing and removal services
- Warehouse management, stock control, and stocktaking
- Willingness to travel within the Greater London Area, and to sites across the UK
- Flexibility in approach to work, with the occasional long hours and weekends
Required essential experience skills and qualifications:
- Full, clean driving license and previous driving experience
- Minimum of three years driving experience
- Ability to work independently or with little supervision
Desirable experience skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer facing role
- Previous experience of the assembling furniture or associated skills
- Previous experience of driving a Luton Van
