Summary
Morson Talent are recruiting for a CAD Operator for work in Devonport dockyard in Plymouth.
Job responsibilities:
Generating and optimizing CAD/CAM programmes for CNC cutting machines.
Collaborating with engineers and designers to ensure accurate interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
Carrying out 2D and 3D drawings as and when required.
Identifying risks & issues when programming.
Amending existing parts as and when required and maintaining drawing standards.
To work safely in full compliance with all company & local safety practices & to be proactive in identifying/preventing hazards in the workplace.
To work to established standards relating to the activities & products. Will report on performance according to the agreed standards.
Participates in continuous improvement activities & open to training in other areas of the business
Experience / Qualifications
• Previous experience using AutoCAD & RADAN or similar
• Understanding of engineering/manufacturing processes
6 months initially
