Summary

Speech and Language TherapistLocation: Cranborne, DorsetSalary: £45,594.00 - £51,896.00Hours: 40 hours per week – 52 weeks a yearThe main purpose of the role:
To work as an Speech and Language Therapist as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the therapy service based at Aurora Boveridge College. The post holder is required to provide a high standard of speech and language therapy assessment and intervention to children and young people, including advice and training to relevant parents, carers and professionals in line with proposed treatment plans.Key Duties:To undertake autonomous assessment of young people with a wide range of additional communication needs attending the college.To analyse and interpret assessments to recommend and deliver the best course of intervention for each child.To formulate, evaluate and review individualised speech and language therapy treatment plans, using clinical reasoning skills and utilising a wide range of treatment options to formulate a specialised programme of care.Provide speech and language therapy training, support and advice to members of the multidisciplinary teams.Delivery of both direct and indirect speech and language therapy interventions.Skills and Qualifications:To be a registered member of RCSLT and HCPC.To hold a professional Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.Previous experience in supporting students with social communication difficulties using a Social Thinking framework (or similar)Ability to demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development.Experience in working with young people with autistic spectrum conditions including Asperger’s syndrome, social and emotional difficulties, anxiety disorders and mental health needs.Experience in implementing a wide range of approaches in supporting young people with social communication difficulties.What’s on offer?Be part of our successful team and also benefit from a generous package that includes:Life assurancePensionPerkbox - offering high street discountsEmployee assistance programmeCar lease schemeFully funded training and qualificationsBike to work schemeFree membership to our Health cash back plan - Claim back money on services such as dental, optical, physio and many more.If you are interested in this role then please apply on-line and complete our application form.
