We need Waking Night Support Workers in Nunney to work 1 to 4 Waking Nights per week at an hourly rate of £13.61 per hour with shift patterns of 9pm - 7am / 10pm - 8am / 10pm - 7am.

Discovery is looking for caring Waking Night Support Workers to support 5 individuals with complex physical needs throughout the night, ensuring the appropriate support is given in line with the risk assessment and support plan and also carrying out a number of key allocated tasks. In the case of emergency there is a staff member to call upon.

You will be supporting individuals with watching films, late night chats, listening to music, making hot chocolate, personal care, repositioning and ensuring people are safe. Due to the rural location Support Workers ideally need to be drivers.

The role may involve tasks such as:

- Carrying out “keeping safe checks” at regular intervals to ensure the people we support are safe and comfortable.

- Ensure the environment is clean and sanitary.

- You will keep written records, using IT systems as required to help you including support plans, incident log and health and safety records.

- Creating a calm therapeutic environment for the people we support.

- Supporting people to make the most of their late evenings / nights when they wish to.

- Provide personal care when required.
