Summary

Contract Manager - Leading FM Company

One of London's fasting growing facilities management companies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Manager to join our dynamic team based in London. As a Contract Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing various technical contracts related to our television production operations. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in handling profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Oversight: Manage the end-to-end life cycle of technical contracts, from negotiation and execution to monitoring and renewal. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, timelines, and quality standards.

  • P&L Responsibility: Take ownership of the financial aspects of contracts, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation. Analyse financial data to optimise contract terms, identify opportunities for cost savings, and maximise profitability.

  • Technical Expertise: Utilise your strong technical background to understand the intricacies of the contracts and effectively communicate technical requirements to both internal and external teams. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure contract terms align with the latest technological developments.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including production, technical, legal, and finance departments. Collaborate with these teams to ensure a unified approach to contract management and delivery of high-quality productions.

  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and issues within contracts and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address challenges to ensure the smooth execution of contracts and minimise disruptions to production timelines.

  • Resilience and Pressure Handling: Thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability when faced with tight deadlines and changing priorities. Maintain composure and focus under pressure to deliver results.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of contracts, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular reports for management. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Contractual Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures. Work closely with the legal team to address any legal and contractual issues that may arise.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in contract management/management positions within the FM industry
  • Strong technical background, with an understanding of television production equipment, workflows, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Resilience and ability to perform effectively under pressure, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Analytic mindset with the ability to analyse financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to contract management.

Contract Manager

Salary: Up to £70,000

Location: City of London

Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
