Summary

• To assist the Directorate Management Team in the development and implementation of policy, business planning, business objectives and service developments.
• To be responsible for the Data Analysis and validation of the 4 hours Patient Safety Standard breaches in the Emergency Department.
• To be responsible for the Data Analysis and validation of the 12 hours trolley breaches in the Emergency Department.
• Assist service leads in meeting performance management requirements of the services, Patient Flow, Sickness & Absence, Mandatory Training, Appraisal and quality and activity targets.
• To undertake specific project work as identified by the Directorate Manager /Directorate Management Team.
• Preparation of information for/participation and co-ordination of MDT meetings including liaison with appropriate clinical teams in
advance of the meetings and obtaining any results/clinical information that is required for the discussion.
• To work closely with Medical Teams, liaising with the Clinical Director and the Absence Management Team to support safely staffed rotas.
• Support the administration tasks around recruitment within the Directorate.
• Ensuring medical staff adheres to Attendance Policy and Special Leave, monitoring sickness for the Directorate.
• Provide updates to the Directorate Triumvirate on sickness and absence statistics highlighting where there are issues.
• Ensure the Directorate are compliant with mandatory training and annual appraisals take necessary actions with service leads for those not compliant.
• Produce Business Plans as and when required, chasing these up to timescales and deadlines.
• Assist the Assistant Directorate Manager with day-to-day administration of the department and wider service.
• To support the tracking and validation of patients as required and escalation of patient treatment in relation to delays and clinical decision making
• Attend appropriate business, governance and service meetings and assist the Directorate Team to support patient pathways.
• Assist in the investigation of complaints.
• Maintain a flexible approach towards assisting in the general smooth running of the department.
• Carry out other tasks as required, commensurate with the grade of the post.
