Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Lambeth Social Care Academy due to the promotion of the current post holder; we are seeking a Practice Development Lead fixed term / secondment for around 2 years.

This is a great opportunity to support promoting and embedding excellent practice in Lambeth Children’s Social Care and key partners across the Directorate. To compliment the current skills, mix within the Academy, we would particularly like to hear from applicants with Early Help and Front Door/Duty experience.

About the role:

PDLs sit within the Lambeth Social Care Academy and report to the Head of Academy/Principal Social Worker and act as agents of change as part of Lambeth’s journey to excellence. They work closely with the service managers to identify and support practice improvement.

About you:

Be a successful social work practitioner should have a strong practice background and ideally have demonstrable recent experience in supporting the learning of social workers and other staff, such as students, ASYEs etc. and experience of influencing practice.

Please note to have your application considered you must be currently registered as a Social Worker with Social Work England.
