A Vacancy at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
There are 2 posts for MTIs across Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. Each post is for a full time MTI Senior Clinical Fellow in General Paediatrics for a 24 month placement. Four posts are based at the Epsom site for general paediatrics, with approximately 6 months rotation to St Helier NICU for further neonatal experience. The fifth post will be based only at the St Helier site. All appointees will however work closely with colleagues on all sites.
The post holder will be a part of the Middle Grade Paediatric team, taking part in the on-call and out of hours rota as part of a full shift system that is fully EWTD-compliant. There will be period of Induction and training to support International Medical Graduates (IMGs) during which time the out of hour duties will be supported, with a bespoke programme provided in the department with a dedicated educational supervisor, in addition access to Trust wide training opportunities dedicated to a wider group of IMGs.
During this post the successful applicant will gain a range of experience in the General Paediatrics Ward, Paediatric A&E, the Paediatric Day Case Unit and neonatology. It is anticipated the postholder will continue to develop their skills and experience in all aspects of General Paediatrics and Neonatology throughout the duration of the post.

The St Helier site provides acute and community services for the Sutton & Merton area. The Epsom site provides acute and community services for the Mid Surrey area as an integrated service.
The community services also provide support for adoption and fostering, child protection and looked after children as well as children with special educational needs and chronic handicapping conditions. We have close working relationships with social services, education and primary health care services.
We also work closely with the CAMHS teams and provide tier 3 inpatient beds to support acute crisis in mental health for children and young people
