TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Independent Primary School with their search for a QTS English Teacher with an opportunity for Lead Responsibility. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with a warm and positive private school, who are focused on child engagement with a specific approach to children with autistic and ADHD traits. The school's specialist care, therapeutic services and education provide support for children with complex learning difficulties and disabilities, including social, emotional and mental health / SEMH. The school creates an environment for each individual to develop both academically and personally. The School is partnered with a Primary school and college to help children throughout their educational journey, up until their transition into adulthood.

This English Teaching role offers a 4-day working week with the same contractable salary as a 5-day working week, as part of a work/life balance scheme. This English Teaching opportunity will give you the chance to progress within a healthy environment, with an SLT Team devoted to ensuring the staff are looked after. The 4-day working week will allow you to provide a higher level of concentration towards the students, whilst being able to have personal time during a long weekend.

The Successful English Teacher will have:

    • QTS
    • Experience, or a willingness to learn, with children with Autistic and ADHD traits
    • Experience supporting young children
    • An understanding of the current curriculum
