Summary

Are you wanting to feel valued and supported in one of the biggest acute teaching hospitals in the UK, working in a large service committed to professional and personal development with clearly defined career pathways. Do you want a senior dietetic position or a guaranteed promotion after 9-12 months after starting your dietetic career with us.

We strongly believe that well-rounded practitioners’ Dietitians really benefit from working in a diverse range of specialties. Hence we have created rotational programme encompassing a period of months in each of the following areas: Cancer, Gastroenterology Medicine, Hepatology, Brain Injury or Complex Medicine.

Working closely alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of the services, offering assessment, formulation and treatment plans to a range of different in and out patient groups. The post remit will also include teaching and training of healthcare professionals, resource development and student dietetic training.

You will be predominately based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary but will also have the opportunity to work at the Leicester General Hospital. We have free hospital transport to allow you to do so. We have well defined Preceptorship and CPD programmes in place to be able to support you.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:
• high-quality care for all,
• being a great place to work,
• partnerships for impact, and
• research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
• we are compassionate,
• we are proud,
• we are inclusive, and
• we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
