Summary

Company Introduction

Kew Learning Ltd (also known as Kew Learning) was founded in 2018 with the aim of providing unique and highly effective method of teaching 7+, 11+ and 13+ exams to help children gain entry to the best grammar schools in their local areas.

We are currently hiring a Business Development Consultant (Mandarin Speaker) to develop our summer school & winter camp programmes, online private tuition and group lessons for Chinese students in China Mainland and Far East markets. The successful candidate must be bilingual (English and Chinese), has strong marketing and communication skills and is familiar with UK summer/winter camps and online tuition markets. Candidates with previous experience in developing summer & winter camps or with their own client base would be highly desirable.


Job Descriptions and Duties

- Conducts in-depth market research, collates and interprets findings of market research and presents results to the management team;
- Produces market analysis report to identify trends, competitive landscape and potential areas for business expansion;
- Discusses business strategies, courses & programmes and targets customer group with the senior management team to identify marketing requirements;
- Explores and pursues new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation;
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and offering bespoke solutions;
- Develops and executes effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets and revenue goals;
- Collaborates with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement business development initiatives, proposals and presentations;
- Gives suggestions & possible changes that can be made in terms of programme design, course content, price, promotion etc.;
- Designs advertising plans (in both Chinese and English), monitors the progress of advertising campaigns and make modifications if necessary;
- Develops digital marketing strategies and copywriting (mainly in Chinese), plans and writes regular contents & articles on Chinese social media platforms, eg.: Facebook, WeChat, Weibo, Little Redbook (Xiao Hong Shu), etc. to promote company brand awareness;
- Carries out effective marketing analytics, using techniques and tools to track statistical data, market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activities etc. to identify potential business opportunities, adjust marketing strategies accordingly and maximise customer converting rate;
- Supports various online & offline marketing campaigns; organises and makes arrangements for open day, seminar, exhibitions, fairs and etc. to promote the company’s holiday camps and tuition courses;
- Translates promotion documents (ie.: brochure, leaflet, articles, etc.) to Chinese
- Designs customer feedback survey, collects customers’ feedback and gives recommendations on the possible changes can be made to the existing programmes & courses;
- Oversees budgets for marketing efforts to guarantee cost-effectiveness over time while maximising results across channels.


Skills and Experience

- Must be bilingual in both English and Chinese, fluent in written and verbal. (mandatory requirement)
- Educated to Bachelor’s Degree or above. (mandatory requirement)
- Proven business development/marketing experience, preferably working in UK summer/winter camps or online tuition development related fields. (mandatory requirement)
- Strong communication skills and marketing awareness, understanding of Chinese culture, keen insight, and ability to identify target customer groups and market trends, etc. (mandatory requirement)
- Sound knowledge of digital marketing; in-depth working knowledge and experience of using a wide range of Chinese social media & digital communication platforms, including but not limited to: WeChat, Weibo, and etc. (mandatory requirement)
- Excellent copywriting skills (Chinese) to produce regular articles for both online and offline marketing campaigns. (mandatory requirement)
- Solid knowledge in market research & analysis, strategic thinking, project management and negotiation. (mandatory requirement)
- Candidates with established client base would be highly desirable. (highly desirable)
- Good IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Packages, Adobe Photoshop and video editing. (highly desirable)
