Wirral University Teaching Hospital is seeking to recruit an Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse to join our dynamic theatre department.

Our trust has 24 theatres over two sites providing elective services in Ophthalmic, Upper GI, Colorectal, Orthopaedics, ENT, Vascular, Gynaecology and Obstetrics and Paediatrics, as well as Emergency surgery and Orthopaedic trauma service.

Our dedicated teams cover satellite areas such as interventional radiology, A&E, MRI and ECT. We also provide pioneering treatment with our Da Vinci robot.
• The role of the senior nurse or ODP within the operating theatre is to ensure that the highest
• Quality of care is provided to every patient in their care through the provision of clear focused
• Clinical leadership
• The role is to support the patient and the teams providing the care
through an efficient productive perioperative journey maximising resources and clinical skills.
• Participate in all shift patterns to provide a 24 hour service where required which mayinclude participation in an on call support system

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have an enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.
