An opportunity has arisen for a permanent GP Training Programme Director in the Swindon GP Training programme.

This role is continuously evolving and will also focus on whole workforce transformation and developing multi-professional links.

You will be based mainly within the Swindon programme and will involve working at the GWH site to deliver the GP curriculum preparing trainees to achieve MRCGP. There may also be some requirement to support other GP training programmes across the South west.

The successful applicant will work with other local TPDs and administrators to facilitate the provision of the half day release course for GPs in training, including managing available funds and resources.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and be responsible for facilitating the provision of education for General Practice trainees in Swindon GP training programme as well as working with the GP educational supervisors and local Primary Care Networks to support GP training across the geographical footprint of the patch.

NHSE supports the delivery of high quality care for patients and high quality public health services by ensuring that the health workforce has the right skills, behaviours and training, and that health care staff are available in the right numbers to meet the needs of the public.
