Summary
Skilled Construction Operative (103jc) – Henley-on-Thames – circa £40k + Benefits.
My client, who are one of the UK’s leading structural waterproofing and damp proofing contractor are now seeking to recruit a Senior Skilled Construction Operative to become a key member of the team.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
They work across London and the South East mainly but are now extending their range as people are becoming more aware on client change issues and the effect it has on their properties and homes, and the work they carry out are on challenging and prestigious projects from historic buildings to large scale commercial new builds.
You will be reporting to the MD who is also the Senior Surveyor at the same time, and your role will be to assist with the management of a team of 10 operatives alongside another senior operative making sure that they get to their jobs on time and proving support and advice to them and essentially helping them to grow and develop in this field.
What they require from you ….
• CSCS Card
• Multi skills - previous proven construction and site experience
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical skills are also useful.
• Full UK driving licence
• Able to lead a team and take initiative.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Good Health & Safety awareness
• Excellent work ethic and positive attitude
• Good spoken English, reading ability and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and pride in work.
The ideal candidate would be someone from probably a concrete construction background who is seeking to move up into potentially a management role in the future, because as the company grows, the MD will need to pass on some of his responsibilities down to key players within the company. You will also need to live within a reasonable commute of Henley as all work starts and stops at their HQ.
In return they are offering a good starting salary circa £40k + host of benefits, including, 25 days paid holiday plus all Bank Holidays, Company pension scheme, Overtime, Annual profit share, Equipped company van and company uniform as well as career progression.
