An opportunity has arisen to join the Digital Services Team working across Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) in a newly formed post that will help Digital Services to minimize risks and disruption to services while enabling rapid change to meet business requirements.

This is an exciting time to join Digital Services as this role delivers a core part of Service Transition working with other ITIL processes like configuration management and release management which form part of the ITIL Framework.

The ITIL Change Lead is responsible for the management of changes within our joint Digital infrastructure, ensuring alignment with the ITIL framework. This role includes risk management, monitoring of process and policy, and service support.

The postholder will facilitate changes within the Group’s IT infrastructure and systems, applying ITIL methodologies to ensure minimal disruption to services. Responsibilities include assessing and approving change requests, identifying and mitigating risks, monitoring compliance with policies, and coordinating with various teams for implementation.

Central to this role is the management of risk, the postholder will be required to work collaboratively to analyse, predict and mitigate potential uncertainties that might accompany changes to Trust Systems. The role requires agility in responding to evolving demands, maintain oversight of adherence to ITIL process, while simultaneously ensuring service support is always available and robust.

This role is a Band 5 new position within Digital Services, part of the work required will also incorporate these elements:
• Ongoing design, configuration, improvement, and maintenance of the Digital Service Group’s ITSM Toolset, Service Desk Plus, to ensure that the solution continues to support the delivery of IT services across both HUTH and NLAG.

NLAG is part of one of the largest acute and community Group arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.

Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Group has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.

Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.

As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.

We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Group and our community.
