Join our team as a Weekend Customer Host and be part of this exciting transformation, enhancing the service for customers travelling with us on Saturdays and Sundays. A great opportunity for those with weekday commitments, these new roles work onboard our trains providing customers with an at-seat refreshment service, a warm welcome and outstanding service.

What are the main responsibilities?

-To promote and sell GWR products onboard our trains by engaging our customers whilst they travel, ensuring they have the journey they deserve.

-To work to the highest standards.

-To be an ambassador for Great Western Railway by following our Values to give excellent customer service.

-To provide the best possible at-seat service to our customers.

-To ensure safety principles are always adhered to, providing the safest possible journey for customers.

-To maintain a clean, hygienic and pleasant environment.

What sort of person are you looking for?

-From a sales or customer service background.

-Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.

-Flexible, with the ability to work a range of shifts including weekends and bank holidays.

-Driven to deliver high level of sales.

-Proactive with a ‘can do' attitude.

-Comfortable working in a regulated environment.

What do I need?

-Cash handling and card payment experience

-Excellent communication skills

-The ability to work well as part of a team and on your own.

-Previous experience of food safety is desirable.

-Stock control and ordering experience is desirable

The basic starting salary will be £23,275 pro rata rising to £30,450 pro rata after probation.

What else do I need to know?

-Hours are 17.5 hours per week, working on Saturday and Sunday only, every weekend.

-13 days annual leave a year

-Please note that training for this position will be two weeks full time, Monday - Friday

-You must live within one hour's travelling time of Worcester Shrub Hill station.

-The minimum age to apply for this position is 18.
