Summary
Mechanical Plant Fitter
Shillibiers Ltd are looking for an experienced skilled Mechanical Plant Fitter to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for carrying out the maintenance, repair, modification and installation of mechanical equipment on site.
• Providing both reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
• Working on mechanical equipment including but not limited to hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, conveyors and bearings.
• Actively using problem solving and techniques to implement root cause analysis of breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Highlighting and identifying opportunities for any process improvements.
• Working on projects closely with the Workshop Manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• Mechanical Engineering qualifications – Apprenticeship/NVQ/HNC
• Strong Mechanical Fault-finding ability
• Experience working on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Plant experience is required
• Self-motivation, ability to work unsupervised, ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines and work proactively
• Strong focus on Health and Safety and the Environment.
• Valid driving licence
• A flexible, adaptable and positive attitude
Job Type: Full-time hours
Salary: Salary will be discussed at interview and dependent on experience and skill level.
