Summary

As a Retail Sandwich Artist with Sodexo at Wythenshawe Hospital, you will keep the day-to-day retail business running by serving a range of products in our Subway Restaurant. This is a perfect 'first job' position, however, if you've got great experience.. we would love to hear from you! Your role is mostly customer-facing and will interact with patients, visitors, and staff delivering outstanding customer service. Your daily encounters with our patients, staff, and visitors can help lessen some of the stress that is often associated with hospitalisation. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. What you’ll do: 

  • Responsible for selling products and operating the till
  • Communicate efficiently about stock management to you're line supervisor– from taking deliveries, to replenishing the store and stock rotation
  • Champion new ways of working within the store through an open mindset and positive attitude
  • Being proactive with supporting offers, promotions and any loyalty schemes
  • Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store and facilities.
  • Ability and confidence to challenge customers who look under 25 when buying restricted items

What you bring:

  • If you have some experience in retail, Brilliant! If not? No problem, we can help support you to feel fully confident in your role
  • Contributing to store sales and cost control
  • Good level of product knowledge and services across the store
  • Good level of digital capability and use of digital tools and applications
  • Understand customer needs and spot selling opportunities

Main Responsibilities

As well as preparing our great tasting products to the very highest of standards, you'll be the face of Greggs,

Our Team Members get involved with everything: serving customers from the till or behind the hot counter, managing the ovens, making fresh sandwiches, stocking the shelves, and ensuring that the shop looks clean, tidy, and presentable for our customers. 

It really is about rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in, doing what needs to be done to make sure every customer feels welcome and valued and leaves our shops happy with their purchase.

And don’t worry if you haven’t got any food service or retail experience. As a Team Member, we’ll give you all the training you need when you join.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be working 5 days per week, roughly 6 hours per shift. 4 weekdays & saturdays. Mornings shifts only from 6am as this is a sandwich maker role. Please consider your transport options before applying

All you need is a passion for giving a great customer service, and a willingness to learn. You'll also be available for the shifts advertised within the job advert.
