Summary
Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for flexible local work in the Swadlincote / Burton area – we have weekly paid hours available!
You will be working within a small supported-living homes within the Swadlincote and Burton area, providing support to the existing teams to ensure that the residents are well cared for.
You will be supporting residents with Autism and Learning Disabilities as well as some with other complex care needs.
Duties include:
- Following personal care plans
- Maintaining health and safety standards and complying with requirements of the home
- General housekeeping and domestic duties
- Recording observations.
- Helping residents remain as independent as possible and catering to their likes and dislikes
- Assisting with daily living activities including morning and night-time routines
Some challenging behaviours may occur, so we are looking for people who are calm and capable under pressure and familiar with how to identify the signs and de-escalate accordingly.

To be suitable for this position you must have:
- An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
- Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving & Handling training
- A Referenceable work history
- At least 3 months experience within a similar setting
If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!

This position is ongoing support
You will be working from 08:00 to 20:00 on days throughout the week, weekend shifts may also be required.
