Summary
Looking for some flexible Night-time hours in a beautiful, modern service?
We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to cover up to 3 nights a week.
You will be working in a modern 6 Bedroom detached home setting in the Retford area. The home caters to the needs of 6 residents with mental health and associated conditions.
You will be supporting the existing team with the health and well-being of the residents throughout the night and your duties will include:
- Ensuring that Health and Safety of the residents is maintained.
- Completing observations and recording this accordingly
- Completing Domestic Duties (i.e cooking and cleaning)
- Engaging with the residents in a positive manner
- Developing a good working relationship with other team members
Due to the nature of this role, some challenging behaviour may be expected, and so previous experience in a mental health support service is essential.
We are looking for someone who has a relaxed persona and is happy working within a more relaxed team environment whilst also always remaining professional.
To be suitable for this position you must have:
- An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
- Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving & Handling training
- A Referenceable work history
- At least 3 months experience within a similar setting
Note: Due to the location of this home it is preferred that you have access to your own transport or reliable lifts as public transport is not a viable option.
If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!
Please attached a up-to-date CV to your application.
**Please note that we do not offer sponsorships**
This is an ongoing role for the right candidate
You will be working up to 3 nights per week from 20:00 to 08:00 - weekend working may also be required.
You will be paid £12.00 per hour with weekend hours being paid at the enhanced rate of £13.00 per hour.
