Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and experience working with children aged 4-11. You would be working from Monday to Friday, 1.30pm-5.30pm during term time and around 30hrs during school holidays.
Your role involves collecting children from the adjacent Primary School, providing snacks, and planning activities based on the children’s interest.
In the holidays, you will plan fun outings, engage in activities and ensure a fun and safe environment.
We need someone who’s a team player, creative, and happy to get stuck in with the messy.
As a Play Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children to play and learn. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have a passion for childcare and enjoy working with children.

Duties:
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Collecting children from adjacent school
- Manage and supervise children
- Plan and organize age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
- Assist with meal times and promote healthy eating habits
- Maintain a clean and organized play area
- Provide support and guidance to children as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working in childcare or a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage groups of children
- Familiarity with nursery rhymes, songs, and storytelling techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Experience working with children of various ages
