More detail about the role Are you a Band 6 or experienced Band 5 Physiotherapist looking for an opportunity to further your career in the community setting? At Woodbury, Exmouth, and Budleigh (WEB), we are looking to recruit dynamic and highly motivated Physiotherapists to join our Community Rehabilitation Team, including internal rotations across the Urgent Community Response Team and the Intermediate Care In-Patient Therapy Team. You will be based at Exmouth Hospital, located within the coastal town of Exmouth, the gateway to the UNESCO-designated Devon Heritage Coast and 12 miles away from the vibrant university city of Exeter. Our catchment area includes the beautiful rural locations of Budleigh Salterton and Woodbury. We are within easy reach of the M5, Exeter St Davids train station and Exeter Airport, offering excellent transport links for those wishing to travel further. We seek a forward-thinking, team-orientated Physiotherapist to join our friendly and supportive team. You will work closely with other Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Rehabilitation Support workers to support patients presenting with various acute and long-term conditions in specialities, including Community Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, Trauma, Orthopaedics,, Geriatrics, Neurology, Vascular and falls. You will be responsible for high-quality assessment, treatment planning, and management of rehabilitation programs for a wide variety of clinical presentations. You will manage your caseload, including appropriate delegation, and supervise and support junior team members. On-site, we have support from General Practitioners, Social care staff, Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists, Extended Scope Practitioners, Consultants, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses and Podiatrists. We have close links with the acute teams in the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and the broader community services across the surrounding clusters. A highly experienced therapist will offer you regular supervision to support you in developing and expanding your existing skills and knowledge. We are passionate about patient care. Together, we work tirelessly to promote patients independence and improve their quality of life through assessment, rehabilitation, preventing hospital admissions, and supporting the hospital discharge process. The post holder must have relevant clinical experience. You must be able to demonstrate flexibility to support the needs of the service as required. Prior community experience is desirable but not essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for versatile, innovative individuals to develop their skills within the community. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 8:00 - 20:00 service delivery over seven days.
