Summary


This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). As part of the team, you will take a role in the delivery of high-quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well-being of children and young people, their families and carers. Working within a systemic and holistic framework you will undertake needs led, evidence based, highly skilled assessments and therapeutic interventions to children and young people, their families and carers, who present to the service. These assessments will be specific to those on the ADHD pathway.

We are looking for a registered nurse, with a minimum of 12 months recent experience within an ADHD/CAMHS setting or experience in working within Mental Health. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivating, have the ability to case manage and will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to establish good working relationships essential to the success of the service.

To work as part of an ADHD multi-disciplinary team:
• As part of an integrated ADHD service actively liaise and support robust partnership working arrangements between the CAMHS and Adult Mental Health services and community partners and other key stakeholders involved with the child across agencies in order that an integrated package of care is developed
• To support the ADHD Nurse-led service from assessment to diagnosis and subsequent monitoring arrangements in line with NICE Recommendation
• Provide a high level of generic skills and competencies and work towards development of areas of clinical expertise within the field of ADHD complimenting other members of the team.
• To provide consultation to a skill mixed team regarding ADHD and to facilitate a culture of learning and reflective practice
• To work in collaboration with the (Clinical Lead/NMP’s/ team leaders) to support the clinical governance / public health and NHS modernisation agenda
• To actively contribute to the implementation of the safeguarding agenda within the service, in partnership with the Lancashire Care safeguarding team
• Be willing to complete required training to work as a Supplementary Nurse Prescriber within the field of ADHD when appropriate to do so.

The £7k Welcome Bonus package applies to this role. The bonus is only available for people who are not currently employed (or who have not been employed in the last 12 months) by any NHS provider trust in the Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Care System in a like-for-like role; e.g. a Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse at another Trust in the LSC ICS would not be eligible for the bonus if moving to a Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse role at LSCFT. Bank only workers for Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust are eligible for the scheme if they have not held a substantive role in Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Care System in the last 12 months (subject to all other terms and conditions being met). These incentives are subject to recovery clauses within the first 24 months of employment. This bonus is applicable to any successful candidate whose interview for this role is conducted prior to 30thJune 2024.

The £7k Welcome Bonus package is designed to attract and retain the very best staff in post. The amount a new starter would receive is shown in the Welcome Bonus Payment Schedule below:
• £3,000 after 2 months of employment (counted from start date with LSCFT)
• £2,000 after 12 months
• £2,000 after 24 months

PLEASE NOTE:This bonus scheme is subject to a Repayment Clause should the post holder leave this role within 24 months of commencing employment.
